We only went about 40 miles today due to a wimpy member of the group that vetoed the suggestion to do an extra ten mile loop (full disclosure -I'm the wimp). Highlight of the ride was checking out Martin's new power meter. Also, using an unsophisticated guessing technique, Hugo and I decided that in fighting the brisk wind from the ENE, it was easier to ride at 21 mph drafting behind Felix than 20 mph drafting behind Martin.
Power meter data looked reasonable, they confirmed me as a lazy rider who put out low watts turning the crank at an average of only 51 rpm. Too bad this system is such a pain to transfer from bike to bike (it mounts in the bottom bracket), or it would be interesting to see everybody's riding style.
ReplyDeleteI never felt totally warmed up today; it did not feel this cold when we rode in 17 degree weather in January.
